REALME 8 – 6gb 128gb -4G
The Realme 8’s design is heavily focused on making it slim and light, and it does a very good job here. The big change compared to the Realme 7 lies in the display, which is a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED panel with a full-HD+ resolution, rather than an LCD panel. The Realme 8 is one of the more comfortable phones I’ve reviewed recently and should be easy to live with.
The Realme 8 reuses the MediaTek Helio G95 SoC from the Realme 7, which has proven to be good enough for gaming at this price level. It’s one of the first phones to ship with Realme UI 2.0 out of the box which is based on Android 11. In terms of performance, the Realme 8 feels snappy. I did miss the fluidity in scrolling offered by a 90Hz display but usability was still good. The Helio G95 SoC posts good benchmark numbers too, scoring 2,89,587 points in AnTuTu. The cameras on the Realme 8 are definitely serviceable in the right conditions, but this model is not a step up from the Realme 7 in terms of features or quality

The Dimensity 1200 SoC is great for gaming and general productivity. You get a 4500mAh battery and 50W fast charging, with a 65W charger unit supplied in the retail box. Battery life is excellent and you should be able to last well over a single day on each charge. The 6.43-inch Super AMOLED scren is crisp but not the best we’ve seen. Stereo speakers make games and movies more engaging. Realme UI’s default apps do throw up some spammy notifications but there are lots of features too. The cameras are disappointing overall, especially in low light. You also might not like the plastic rear panel which doesn’t feel too premium.

Realme has finally moved beyond the polycarbonate bodies we’ve seen so far on its phones, for an aluminium body with Gorilla Glass 5 on the front and back of the X2. The device can be a little slippery and the glass back attracts smudges easily. The earpiece also doubles as a second speaker for stereo sound, which is a welcome feature.
